How can getting your hands in soil bring people together?
This terrarium workshop was designed to create connection through shared making, conversation and care. Delivered for R U OK? Day, the activation invited participants to slow down, get their hands in soil and engage with the calming, sensory experience of working with plants.
Through the process of creating their own terrarium, attendees were encouraged to connect with one another while engaging in a mindful, tactile activity. The workshop created a welcoming environment for conversation, reflection and community connection within the workplace.
Each participant left with a living terrarium to take home or keep on their desk, extending the experience beyond the moment and offering an ongoing source of freshness, calm and wellbeing.
Jade led the concept, design, production and delivery of the workshop.
