How can we create spaces where everyone feels seen, safe and celebrated?
Rainbow Rhapsody was a public activation created to celebrate IDAHOBIT and invite meaningful, visible support for the LGBTQIA+ community.
At the heart of the activation was a growing installation of post-it notes, each carrying affirmations, personal stories and messages of support. Visitors were invited to contribute their own, allowing the work to evolve throughout the day into a collective expression of allyship, care and shared experience.
A live performance by shOUT Youth Chorus (Australasia’s first LGBTQIA+ youth choir) brought powerful energy and visibility to the space, while a rainbow flower display and cupcake giveaway with affirmations created moments of joy, generosity and connection.
The activation transformed Melbourne Quarter into a space of celebration, reflection and community, encouraging people to show up and support one another.
Jade led the concept, design and production of the activation.
